Stephen Powers is one of the strong “new generation” of jazz guitarists in the area. Obscenely humble, like most of his brethren, Stephen’s playing does the talking for him. Technique, finesse, sophistication are all on display when you have the opportunity to hear him play. Though he’s played at Barking Legs many times in many settings, this will be his first evening as band leader. He plans an ambitious evening with a stellar cast, including Matt Turnure on drums, Grady Dickinson on alto sax, Given Graber on bass, Danny Sample on keys, and Matt Roehrich on tenor sax.

Since 2015, Barking Legs Theater has grown our weekly jazz program and will continue to do so with memberships and more, coming soon! Aside from the occasional touring act, we strive to support local artists and foster the talent within Chattanooga and surrounding areas. We appreciate everyone's support over the years and look forward to presenting these jazz events for many years to come.
