Join your Hosts Marcus and Hope (aka HOCUS) on Thursday, May 8th for a special open mic variety show where we are exploring the very concept of [M]oThEr. What is [M]oThErhood? Is it sacred? Is it overrated? What are the complexities? What is/was your [M]oThEr like? Sing a song in her honor. Recite a poem that releases all your anger for her. Choreograph a dance about the joys and horrors of being a [M]oThEr . Show us what all you [M]oThErS got!

AND on Friday, May 9th there will be a fully curated show on the same theme featuring a variety of local and regional artists diving into the concept of [M]oThEr!

For one night only, witness an ensemble of performers exploring themes of [M]oThErhood. Some of us are [M]oThErS. All of us have [M]oThErS. Those relationships and the very identity of being a [M]oThEr are complex. Where love, obligation, sorrow, joy, disappointment, laughter, and tears, all collide; for each of us the very concept of [M]oThEr has shaped our hearts and lives. This performance features a mixture of dance, spoken word, music, and improvisation all around the centerpiece of a distorted living room where all of these stories will play out insights into the lives of each performer. We ask you to join us and start [M]oThEr'S dAy WeEkEnD with an event that does more than just celebrate what [M]oThEr means.
