Winter/Spring Session 2012:
Changing Your Life through Pilates: The Ultimate Core Workout Pilates Mat Course
Chattanooga’s first certified Pilates instructor, Ann Law, offers a Pilates Mat course of ten weeks that
will transform you! By increasing your understanding of the abdominals, lower and upper back, hips, buttocks and inner thighs, this course will give you a completely different body by strengthening and
stabilizing your core while increasing your flexibility and coordination. As a certified Pilates instructor
since 2001, Ann uses her background in dance in helping everyone grow inside Pilates’ specific method,finding new ways of developing body awareness. Not only does Ann love teaching the work, it keeps her
strong and healthy as a dancer, and as a mom!

Bellydance Workout I
Learn the ancient art of bellydance while working up a sweat! Lauryn is certified in three styles of bellydance training (Cabaribalusion, American Tribal Style, and Rachel Brice's 8 Elements Initiation) as well as a certified yoga instructor (230 hours) with an extra certification in prenatal/postnatal yoga. Lauryn will draw from this training, her history of study and teaching at Zanzibar Studio, and her experience performing with Mirabai Bellydance, to create a well-rounded and energetic class. An optional performance opportunity will be offered at the end of the session to those who would like to show what they have learned. NO previous dance experience needed, and ALL bodies are welcome.

First Sunday of each month…
3:00 – 5:00pm
Participants are free to propose structures for non-idiomatic improvised dance/music/spoken word. All are invited. Bring your chops but leave your preconceptions at the door!
